SKIN MOUNTS
Most people who come to Dave Montgomery's Fish Mounting Studio want a traditional skin mount. That means that Dave will use the skin
from their own fish and mount it to recreate a life-like representation of the real fish.
In order to ensure that your fish is in the best possible condition for mounting, we recommend that you wrap the fish ( whole - not
gutted ) first in damp paper towel or an ordinary towel, dampened, and freeze it as soon as possible after catching it.
Dave's special artistic talent is his ability to restore the colours of your fish using specially formulated paints and professional
airbrushes so the fish looks just like it did the moment it came out of the water.
Included in the cost of your skin mount are the following:
When you are viewing some of the pictures of Dave's fish mount works of art, you will see many on the standard plaque mounts.
Some trophies are mounted in dioramas (habitat scene mounts) too.
Dave is pleased to offer dioramas as an option including mounting your
trophy fish in a diorama that is inside a glass case, a coffee table, part of a desk top, etc. Discuss your ideas with Dave.
