About Dave's Work

Dave Montgomery, craftsman, artist and driving force behind Dave Montgomery's fish mounting service, has had a lifetime love affair with fishing.

When he can escape from his studio he continues to enjoy fishing for many species in many different locations in Canada.

It doesn't hurt either that his studio is located a stone's throw from one of the most prolific Walleye (Pickerel) fisheries in the world, near the Bay of Quinte in eastern Ontario, Canada.

Dave's knowledge of fish species, is garnered - in part - from a career spanning more than three decades in Federal Fisheries & Oceans and in the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources.

This, combined with his years of experience in "hands on" developing of skin-mounting and trophy fish reproductions with a variety of fish species, guarantees that any fish trophy he works on results in a realistic and beautiful finished mount any sportsperson would be proud of.
